Stephen Gray is the Newcastle Director of Liquid Architecture.

Stephen graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) in 1998. Upon graduation Stephen worked briefly in small practice, and then turned to private work as a sole practitioner before joining the practice in 2000, then known as Liquid Design.

Stephen is a corporate member of the AIA, and has been heavily involved with the SONA-AIA student mentoring scheme since 2005. Through his work with students from the University of Newcastle, Stephen enjoys providing the opportunity for students to gain a better understanding of the broader profession.

In 2008 Stephen was awarded the Archicentre Outstanding Client Service Award.

Apart from his architectural studies, Stephen completed the NatHERS energy assessment course in 2002 and has an ongoing interest in the intersection of design, planning and building compliance.
